Messaging
Future capability. Messaging is part of VYRDAI Social, which is on the road and not currently available. This page describes the planned experience.
VYRDAI Social is planned to include private, one-to-one messaging between creators, visible only to the two people in the conversation.
Starting a conversation
Open another creator's profile and choose Message. There is one conversation per pair of people, no matter who starts it. You can't message yourself, and you can't start a conversation with a creator who has blocked you or whom you have blocked.
In a conversation
- New messages appear automatically while the conversation is open.
- Opening a conversation marks it as read; unread counts show on the Messages tab and in the conversation list.
- You can delete a message you sent — the other person then sees that a message was deleted.
- Message length is limited, and there are rate limits to prevent spam.
Privacy
Conversations and their message content are private to the two participants. They are not shown to other users. If a conversation is reported, a VYRDAI administrator sees only that it was reported and by whom — not the messages themselves.
Blocking
From a conversation's menu you can block the other creator. While a block is in place, neither of you can send new messages in the conversation or start a new one — the existing conversation stays readable. You can unblock at any time from the same menu. Blocking is also enforced across the rest of Social.
Reporting
The conversation menu also has a Report option. Reports are reviewed privately by VYRDAI; the other person is not notified.
